Kudos to Adam Simmons and the Fayetteville Public School system for taking a stand for kids health:

Chocolate milk is a popular breakfast drink, but officials in Fayetteville say it’s causing kids to crash halfway through the school day so they’ve pulled it from the breakfast menu.

Some parents are in favor of this while others are very much opposed.

“The straw that broke the camel’s back was I walked in and there’s a low-sugar chocolate cereal. The children were pouring chocolate milk on chocolate cereal and at that point I said that’s probably enough. We’re going to make a change,” Adam Simmons, the Child Nutrition Director of Fayetteville Public Schools, says.

They’ve decided to stop offering chocolate milk in the mornings to eliminate part of the children’s sugar intake.
