Jay Sekulow was tasked with introducing Mitt Romney at CPAC, but ended up introducing Scott Brown instead, who then ended up introducing Romney.

Scott Brown told the crowd:

Ms. Glenda Booth, an activist with the National Audobon Society, penned a letter to the editor in the Alexandria Times that contained some serious factual errors.

Ms. Booth wrote:

The visual images of climate change are often forlorn polar bears perched desperately on a small patch of shrinking ice or mammoth glacial chunks of Greenland crashing into the ocean.

As many folks are aware, ‘ClimateGate‘ has shown just how bad scientists have been lying to us these last twenty years or so. In the last week, the UN agency for “climate change” withdrew a years-old claim that man-made climate change will destroy the Himalayan glaciers within 25 years — after its highly unscientific method of reaching this conclusion got exposed this week. Instead of conducting actual science themselves, with open and transparent methods, the IPCC apparently just read the claim in an interview and decided to adopt it. Also, if you go to the overseas newspapers, there are reports after reports on how ice in both the Arctic and Antarctica that ice in the glaciers and the polar ice caps in both locations is rising NOT decreasing.

As for the polar bears, one thing I didn’t know until I researched it on my own was that polar bears can actually swim 100 miles. Polar bears are not decreasing in number, as activists like Ms. Booth would have you believe, but their numbers are actually increasing. As for the photo Ms. Booth mentions, it is a fake as well as CJ Williams correctly explains.

Ms. Booth continued:

Seas are rising in part because of the Earth’s warming. This means that the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, like the Potomac River, in turn, are rising too. Consider these facts:

Sea level in the Chesapeake Bay has risen approximately one foot over the past century,” according to the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. This rate is two times faster than the global average, report scientists at the College of William and Mary.

Without action, the Potomac River could rise by two feet by 2050 or with a surge, by four feet, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration experts.

“The shorelines of the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries, such as the Potomac River, are among the region’s most threatened resources,” the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments warned last year. Low-lying areas along the Potomac are at risk for flooding which will exacerbate the effects of storm-induced tides or floods, COG said.

Old Town and other riverside communities could see flooding further west than the inundation Hurricane Isabel wrought in 2003.

While the sea level has risen in the last 100 years in the Chesapeake Bay, many scientists from prominent Universities close to the Bay, have done studies that show the sea has in fact risen very little since about 1992. Most of these same scientists see the water level rising very little in the next century. So to say that the ‘Potomac River could rise by two feet by 2050′ is pure fantasy.

What is more damaging to the bay and the Potomac is the amount of chemicals being dumped into them.

These statements from Ms. Booth fly in the face of the evidence uncovered during ‘climategate.’ The hacked e-mails show the fraud that has been perpetrated on the people of the world by folks like Ms. Booth who is a definite ‘warmer.’

This is why fraudulent efforts like Eco-city Alexandria should not be forced upon the residents of Alexandria, VA. If folks want to use less, like our family does, the residents should be able to do so on their own without Government forcing them to do so through fines or increased taxes.

That’s right. Eco-city Alexandria is a fraud. It is based upon science that is definitely NOT settled.

To help prove this, the lead scientist on climate change, Professor Phil Jones recently admitted that:

• Data for vital ‘hockey stick graph’ has gone missing
• There has been no global warming since 1995
• Warming periods have happened before – but NOT due to man-made changes

The academic at the centre of the ‘Climategate’ affair, whose raw data is crucial to the theory of climate change, has admitted that he has trouble ‘keeping track’ of the information.

Colleagues say that the reason Professor Phil Jones has refused Freedom of Information requests is that he may have actually lost the relevant papers.

Professor Jones told the BBC yesterday there was truth in the observations of colleagues that he lacked organisational skills, that his office was swamped with piles of paper and that his record keeping is ‘not as good as it should be’.

The data is crucial to the famous ‘hockey stick graph’ used by climate change advocates to support the theory.

Professor Jones also conceded the possibility that the world was warmer in medieval times than now – suggesting global warming may not be a man-made phenomenon.

And he said that for the past 15 years there has been no ‘statistically significant’ warming.

The admissions will be seized on by sceptics as fresh evidence that there are serious flaws at the heart of the science of climate change and the orthodoxy that recent rises in temperature are largely man-made.

Then again, these are just facts…

Folks like Contessa Brewer and her cohort Dylan (“Ratfink” as Mark Levin calls him) Ratigan and the many ‘warmers’ (the global warming zealots) out there would have you believe that the extreme snow we folks in the mid-Atlantic are experiencing is because of global warming.

Um, no. That would be a false statement.

Just like when the liberal ‘warmers’ like Senator Byrd, Senator Boxer, et al tried to tell us several years ago that when it WASN’T snowing, that was because of global warming/climate change. Brietbart TV has a collection of clips from Democrats blaming the lack of snow in previous years on global warming.

Which is it warmers? You can’t have it both ways…

From the group Minnesotans For Global Warming comes a terrific parody of the Who’s ‘Teenage Wasteland’ called ‘Frozen Wasteland.’ M4GW got the inspiration for the song when the Who performed their classic hit during halftime of the recent Super Bowl. The song is in honor of the horrible winter that we are experiencing.

This is a great satire of the global warming hysteria and a decent remake of this song. Enjoy.

Contessa Brewer, on MSNBC yesterday, attempted to show she knows more about global warming climate change than most people. She tries vainly to refute Senator Jim DeMint’s  hilarious Twitter status in which he said the snow would continue until ‘Al Gore cries uncle.’  She essentially ignores the weatherman in the video. Kudos to the weatherman who is on screen with her who attempts to show both sides of the AGW argument but ends up knocking it right down the middle.

If Ms. Brewer had done any research on her own, she would know that Judicial Watch, a public interest group that investigates and prosecutes Government corruption, recently uncovered NASA documents through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies that shows NASA’s involvment in climate gate and how NASA actually revised their temperature data. If this is so, how can one link to NASA with a straight face?

NASA has been stonewalling requests for years. Much of the data used for the “consensus” that manmade global warming is real came from the CRU and NASA’s GISS. If that data is not accurate and/or has been manipulated it undermines everything. NASA was forced to revise much of its data concerning global warming. Among the revisions found were:

• Only 4 of the top 10 warmest years occurred in the past 10 years (1998, 1999, 2006)
• Out of the top 10 warmest years half occurred before 1940
• The years 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004 were cooler than the year 1900
• 1996, just two years before what Al Gore called the hottest year in the history of the planet, was actually cooler than average.
• 1921 was the third warmest year in recorded history (behind 1934 and 1998).

As you can see above, NASA’s data revision clearly changes things. So, we’re almost back to the 1970′s theory of global cooling! The fact remains that the planet has been cooling since 1998. If there was global warming, then all of this snow would be rain as the Earth is supposed to get WARMER not colder. One of my favorite things the alarmists have tried to say is that global warming will bring more violent thunderstorms and hurricanes. Only one (1) major hurricane occurred in the 2000s (Hurricane Katrina)  and many experts say that Katrina was NOT caused by climate change.

Dr. Michael Mann, who co-authored the famous graph of temperature trends dubbed the “hockey stick graph,” was implicated in Climategate. Renowned statistician and software engineer Eric S. Raymond (ESR) says the global warming “hockey stick” graph data was “hard-coded” or purposefully “fudged.” Mann’s controversial work has been challenged in the past.

Oh, and last but not least, remember when the IPCC and the global warming advocates like Al Gore talk about sea level rising? It is a lie.

For example, the IPCC scientist who made the bogus claim that Himalayan glaciers would melt by 2035 included the unsubstantiated claim  in a report purely to put political pressure on world leaders. Also, Al Gore started telling folks in 2007 the bogus claim that the polar ice caps would melt in five (5) years. He was called out on this by the very scientist he supposedly got the information from.

If Ms. Brewer bothered to do ANY research, she would definitely know this.
