Fire Joy Behar

Investor’s Business Daily with an excellent opinion piece about the Joy Behar vs. Sharron Angle feud.

Amplify’d from www.investors.com

Does someone who calls a Senate candidate a “bitch” who is “going to hell” belong on national TV? If ABC doesn’t fire Joy Behar, it will be sanctioning her violent rhetoric.

What will be the next outrageous example of the establishment media’s crass political favoritism? “The View” gabmeister Joy Behar on Tuesday brought political commentary down to the level of misogynist rap stars.

“Artists” like N.W.A. sold over 9 million units with lyrics like, “Punch the bitch in the eye, then the ho will fall to the ground.”

Behar not only repeatedly called Nevada Republican Senate nominee Sharron Angle a “bitch” for Angle’s TV ads focusing on Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s support for illegal immigration, she also, seemingly, expressed the wish that the Tea Party populist become the victim of street violence.

“I’d like to see her do this ad in the South Bronx. Come here, bitch!” Behar yelled, as she made gestures suggesting physical assault. “Come to New York and do it!”

A moment later, Behar added, “She’s going to hell, this bitch!”

National Public Radio just fired Juan Williams — a respected liberal journalist with decades of experience — for expressing a perfectly rational, nonviolent fear that many Americans share.

Williams told host Bill O’Reilly on Fox News: “I’m not a bigot. You know the kind of books I’ve written about the civil rights movement in this country. But when I get on the plane, I gotta tell you, if I see people who are in Muslim garb and I think, you know, they are identifying themselves first and foremost as Muslims, I get worried. I get nervous.”

Williams never wished violence on devoted Muslims. He never called them a profanity meaning “female dog.” Nor did he wish eternal torment for them. Yet he was fired for remarks NPR called “inconsistent with our editorial standards and practices” and which “undermined his credibility as a news analyst with NPR.”

What are ABC’s standards? On Wednesday, Angle sent Behar flowers with this note: “Joy, Raised 150K online yesterday — thanks for your help. Sincerely, Sharron Angle.”

Behar’s response was to call her “bitch” on-air once again, then brag about how powerful she is as a national commentator.

Jim Moran Lies To Cover Up Military Smear

Congressman Jim Moran was on WTOP radio today to try and smooth over his disgusting comments about military service from earlier this month and lied while doing so.

Jim Moran said:

What [Republicans] do is that they find candidates – usually stealth candidates – that haven’t been in office, haven’t served or performed any kind of public service. My opponent is typical.

[...]

And of course, for 24 years, he’s taken a government check because, frankly, the military still is part of the Federal government, uh, and, yet, his principle platform is to cut government spending.

On WTOP today, Jim Moran had this to say about his remarks:

Moran says he was specifically citing local service aimed at Virginian communities, which Murray lacks, he says.

“Whether it be a civic association or a (parent-teacher association) or a non-profit charitable group, nothing,” Moran says.

“This gentleman has not even voted in Virginia until last year when he decided to run for congress.”

Civic engagement is something voters should consider in addition to military service, Moran adds.

That would be a lie.

See the part where our gaffe-prone Congressman Moran says ‘And of course, for 24 years, he’s taken a government check because, frankly, the military still is part of the Federal government.” So Congressman Moran was NOT talking about local, civil service, and was indeed smearing military service. No wonder the various military associations are extremely upset with him.
