Rudy Giuliani Calls Out Soledad O’Brien Over Her Bias (Video)

Says ‘Am I debating the President’s campaign?’ Yes he is when Soledad O’Brien’s involved.

Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani stopped by Starting Point Monday morning, where he was asked to weigh in on the upcoming debate between Mitt Romney and President Barack Obama. He thought Romney was a consistently good debater and would turn in a strong performance this week, but thought Obama’s last showing was “really troubling” and a “shock.” Giuliani was also unimpressed by Joe Biden‘s performance during last week’s vice presidential debate, calling it “very damaging” to the re-election campaign. “What the heck’s he laughing at?” he asked.

Host Soledad O’Brien then brought up the Obama campaign’s argument that, if Republicans are criticizing laughter, they actually don’t have anything of substance with which to find fault.

“There’s plenty to criticize,” said Giuliani. “I mean, the cover-up of Benghazi is startling…” At that point, when guest Richard Socarides attempted to cut in, Giuliani pressed forward. “Can I finish?,” he asked. “Can I finish my statement before you get all upset? I mean, the reality is he said we didn’t know they were asking for more security. Where the heck was he? I mean, they were demanding more security. They were begging for more security. Susan Rice goes on television four days later — I was on CNN with her that morning — and says it was a spontaneous demonstration. I knew it wasn’t. I knew it wasn’t; I’m not part of the administration. I knew it wasn’t the day after. And she had to know it wasn’t. They were saying it wasn’t. The National Security adviser said it was a terrorist plot.”

The White House is essentially trying to run out the clock by holding off on giving real answers until after the election, said Giuliani, who did not hesitate to label the matter a “cover-up.” “The statement was made, including by the President of the United States, that this was due to this terrible movie about Mohammed,” said Giuliani.

“He actually didn’t say that,” O’Brien replied. “The actual verbatim of what he said, he did not say it was something other than that. But it was mentioned, but he did not specifically say this was due to a movie.”

“Man, the defensive — Am I debating with the President’s campaign? [...] I mean, the defense of the President is overwhelming,” said Giuliani.

Tim Allen’s Show ‘Last Man Standing’ Slams President Obama

You don’t see this very often on TV in Democrat/Liberal filled Hollywood. Politics aside, this is a REALLY funny show. I can’t wait for the premiere on Friday, Nov. 2.

Via NY Post

Comedian Tim Allen has an idea for a home improvement at the White House: Get a new tenant!

A rare Republican in Democrat-loving Hollywood — let alone in prime time — Allen delivers a comic smackdown in the season premiere of his ABC sitcom, “Last Man Standing.”

It’s the first sign the GOP may be making inroads in what has been nearly solid support for the president on the left coast.

In the episode, airing four days before the election, Allen’s uber-conservative character, Mike Baxter, tries to persuade his impressionable 18-year-old daughter to vote for Mitt Romney.

“The Democrats will tax [your] inheritance and probably use that money to throw gay weddings for illegal aliens,” Allen’s character tells the Kardashian-loving teen, who thinks Bill Clinton’s mother is secretary of state.

“Democrats love spending other people’s money. Free health care for everybody . . . Whoopee! Now lazy people can go around licking doorknobs.”

Happy 237th Birthday U.S. Navy! (Video)

As a grandchild of a former Navy Admiral, I echo the sentiment below…

The Heritage Foundation notes

Today, we commemorate and give thanks for the sacrifice and service of the men and women in uniform of the U.S. Navy.

On October 13, 1775, Congress authorized the procurement of two armed vessels to search for British ships supplying munitions to the British army in America. Today, the Navy continues to be a force for good, advancing and securing interests of this grateful nation and its allies around the world.

Over the years, the Navy has evolved to the finest maritime force among all nations. Its members have fought with distinction by sea and land. They have secured U.S. interests and promoted peace, stability, and the values of this great country and other civilized nations abroad.

The U.S. Navy is the key guardian of the world’s prosperity. Today, about 90 percent of global commerce is conducted by sea. The U.S. upholds the principle of freedom of the seas to promote and protect commerce among nations. The U.S. men and women in uniform willingly place themselves in harm’s way to fight those who endanger the principles we all hold dear.

More than 321,000 Navy active-duty personnel and over 107,000 active reserves are ready to fight evil wherever it occurs. Some of these men and women are away from their families, deployed to some of the most unforgiving areas on the planet. They deserve our unwavering support and the tools they need to ensure victory now and in the future.

Shuttle Endeavour Makes It’s Way Through Downtown Los Angeles

The recently retired Space Shuttle Endeavour is slowly making its way through the streets of downtown Los Angeles, CA on its way to the California Science Centre. Oh, how I wish I was there. See this great photo on Facebook of the event (LOOK at the gas prices too!).

The space shuttle Endeavour has continued through the streets of Los Angeles towards its retirement home at a museum.

Endeavour’s final mission began when it departed from the Los Angeles International Airport before dawn on Friday, rolling on a 160-wheeled carrier past diamond-shaped “Shuttle Xing” signs.

On Friday evening it stopped as crews spent hours transferring the shuttle to a special, lighter towing dolly.

Then at around midnight, it travelled over a bridge across Interstate 405, an especially tricky part of the complicated journey because of the size of the space craft and width of the bridge.

The shuttle was pulled across the Manchester Boulevard bridge by a Toyota Tundra pickup, and the car company filmed the event for an advert after paying for a permit, turning the entire scene into a movie set complete with special lighting, sound and staging. Police stopped traffic on the motorway below for the duration of the traverse, which took about three minutes.

Crews preparing for the crossing had to take down power lines, leaving about 400 residents of surrounding Inglewood without power for what was expected to be several hours.

Once on the other side, crews began the lengthy process of returning it to the original carrier, before resuming its journey early on Saturday.
