Here is Samuel Hernly’s 2017 Christmas portrait with Santa Claus. When I look at these photos each year, it really reminds me that it’s true what they say – time really does fly by with your kids. Sam has really come a long way since one of his early Santa photos where he was filmed screaming in fear (sorry Sam) and I love seeing him blossom into the young man he is today.
Sam Hernly got to see his cousin Jordan Hernly last night for the first time in a while. She’s doing great things in her life and learning a lot as a freshman at Western Carolina University.
Last month, my daughter Kat came for a visit. I took Sam and Kat to Kings Dominion for the day. What a great time we had. While most kids were on spring break, we had a great time and felt like we had the park mostly to ourselves.
My son Sam went with my wife to go to see Santa and Mrs. Claus at our local fibre space store in Alexandria, Virginia today. Here’s my favorite photo from their meeting.
Sam, on this day, you become one year older. But, no matter how many birthdays come and go, you will always be my little son who took his first steps while holding my finger and I will ALWAYS be there for you. Happy Birthday Sam!
