Psalm 23 is one of my favorite passages of Scriptures. Over and over again the Bible calls us to stillness. From today’s lectionary on the 4th Sunday after Easter.
“Truly the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,”
Christ is risen! – He appears to Mary Magdalene, then to others—He sends the Apostles to preach and promises that signs will follow faith.
“How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!”
Come, let us sing to the Lord; let us shout for joy to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving *
and raise a loud shout to him with psalms.”
