Via Bloomberg, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost 50% of adults my age (between 40 – 59 years of age) tried to lose weight in 2013-2016.

I make it a resolution each year to lose weight (and usually fail) but, in 2018, have been doing better and am making a concerted effort to do so (e.g. here and here).

Every year I resolve to lose weight by working out more but somehow don’t end up keeping up with the workouts.
