In 2014 , the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Rosetta spacecraft rendezvoused with Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko as it hurdled around the sun. The ESA was able to deploy a lander to the surface of Comet 67P to study it.
Scientist, and fellow veteran, Antonio Paris made this stunning comparison of the Comet to a modern U.S. city.

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle is visiting the Alexandria, Virginia waterfront September 4-8, as part of a tour of the East Coast. The ship passed through the Woodrow Wilson Bridge this morning (Monday, September 4), at approximately 8 a.m., and is docked at Robinson Landing (1 Duke St.).
Eagle will host free tours on Monday, September 4, from 1 to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m, and tickets are not required. Because of the overwhelming response in Alexandria, the Coast Guard added an extra tour.
