Boston Bruins Help Army Soldier Surprise His Parents (Video)

This was AWESOME. Great job by the Boston Bruins helping Lt. Charles Jacobs surprise his folks before the game.

In honor of the past Veteran’s Day weekend, the Bruins invited Darren and Lori Jacobs, the parents of Lt. Charles Jacobs (currently serving overseas), to drop the ceremonial puck. For the past seven months, Charles has been in Afghanistan with the 182nd infantry of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.

Well done soldier and well done Bruins!

On this Veterans Day, we are celebrating those who have served our country. The Department of Veterans Affairs is reaching out to explain the meaning of Veterans Day, and the fact that our gratitude reaches far beyond just one day out of the year.

Enjoy. And if you can, consider donating to help our veterans who are returning home.

As President Reagan once said:

Although as Americans we have many things to be thankful for, none are as important as our liberty.

Liberty; that quality of government that brightens of mind and spirit for which the pilgrim fathers braved the seas and Americans for two centuries have laid down their lives…

We get that liberty from the men and women that lay down their life so that we may have liberty and freedom.

To say thanks to the troops, consider donating if you can to the Bob Woodruff Foundation at The Foundation helps ensure our nation’s injured service members, veterans and their families return to a homefront ready to support them and it educates the public about the needs of injured service members, veterans and their families as they reintegrate into their communities.
